The Brick and Mortars
The original store opened on Main Street in Mansfield in April of 2005. Two years later, in 2007, Nadine decided to leave the business to pursue different professional interests. Although it was very scary for me to be on my own at first, little by little I grew the business and was able to open two additional locations; glee gifts at Chestnut Green in Foxboro and glee gifts at Cobbs Corner in Canton. Discovering that bigger is not always better, I closed the two stores in 2009 and had one flagship store at Mansfield Crossing,,,,which was a dream come true since it was a great lifestyle mall with much foot traffic. Over the years the store and I thrived and we were busy! glee was the first in the area to introduce hundreds of new product launches for lines such as Chamilia, Alex and Ani, Luca and Dani, John Medeiros, Vera Bradley, Lokai, Lolita hand painted wine glasses, Scout bags, Dune Jewelry, just to name a few. I also had a wonderful staff that felt like family (most days!) and many, many fabulous customers. We had fun at work. We became known for our green and purple gift wrap, with free wrap (!)
unique gifts, and better than anything, the gift of conversation with our customers. Once in the store, customers usuallyperused the store a couple of times to really see what they missed the first time around, and it was always a compliment when our eclectic selection of unique gifts, evoked a "giggle". Being busy moms ourselves, we also became known for that last minute gift,,,,you know,,,,, when you have 3 kids in the car, your ice cream is melting on the backseat, you still have to get to your kid to soccer practice and you need a quick gift for a party later that evening. We were THAT go-to store. And did I mention we had free gift wrap? And did I mention we had fun?
